My class hosted two Hungarian teachers on Tuesday, 12 April

Last week two Hungarian teachers came to my school for the activity “ job shadowing’ ,

Mrs Erika ( Head teacher and teacher of mathematics and technology) and  Mrs Gabriella  (

English teacher). When they arrived, I asked them to introduce themselves. The two teachers teach in an elementary school in the city of Kecskemét. Their school has about 500 pupils aged 6 to 14.  They study two languages, German and English. They play various sports, including soccer and basketball.

My pupils listened to them with interest and curiosity. They asked for more information about the school, the subjects, the break. After a few minutes, I intervened explaining that in the last two years the class has been participating in etwinning projects. This year, the etwinning project "Coming Soon" involved the students in a special way because many activities stimulated their creativity. Immediately afterwards,  one of my students showed the various tasks carried out during the school year and presented the last task "Collaborative stories". In March, the project founders divided the students into transnational groups. Each group collaborated to write a story on topics covered in the previous months, such as entertainment, communication, environment, high-tech, space. Afterwards, my student invited her classmates to tell the stories, and they took turns performing, happy and proud to show off their work. Finally, I proposed a quiz on collaborative stories and, all the pupils participated enthusiastically. The foreign colleagues  were very interested, congratulated the students for their fluency in English, and proposed a future collaboration in an eTwinning project. Finally, we ended the meeting with a souvenir photo!
