We have done our page in the book. I didn't expect that the source of inspiration of my students would be Minecraft. However our times are sometimes called "Matrix", so why the future generations wouldn't live in "Minecraft"?
Turkish and Ukranian students met on 20th of December.
In the beginning of our meeting, after greetings teachers and students introduced themselves.
Secondly, Turkish and Ukranian students learnt some words called false friends via a presentation. For example, bardak is glass in Turkish, and a word that sounds exactly the same (БAPДAK) means fist in Ukranian. So false friends aka bilingual homophones are words in two languages that sound similar, but differ significantly in meaning. Firstly, Turkish students read then Ukranian students called the same word.
After that, students watched a video about Ukraine and its features. Turkish students introduced Turkey and Yozgat since Zehra and Gamze teachers' schools are located in Yozgat.
Then, students played two Kahoot! games about "Ukraine" and "Turkey". One of the unforgetable moment was Inna teacher sang the Ukranian folk song :)
It was a great meeting. In the end, students said goodbye in their own languages. We were so happy to know each other better.

Time capsule / S.Sedef Aktas
We designed our time capsule as letters in which my students talked about their current ages' interest, facts, problems, favorites(books, songs, snacks etc.). These letters were written to their 35th age at which they dream as to be. After writing the letters, they put the letters between the books which they will always keep, and read the letters 22 years alter from now. It was so touchy to write these letters to themselves.
My pupils designed their time capsules and gave information about their lives. They talked about what their time capsule included and why they wanted to put those materials in the capsule.
My project team collaborated and wrote about the future telling cards on the forum of TwinSpace. After that, they worked on Canva and created cards. Finally, they used the cards and acted out. It was an activity full of fun.
